Abstract

In today's commercial relationships, stakeholders need to know the trends of specific topics and how the main methods are applied to solve the gaps related to sustainable supply chains. This study has as general objective to present a structured research methodology that allows the evaluation of sustainable supply chain management through a case study in a food industry. In methodological terms, the case study was carried out through the application of a methodology composed of seven constructs, namely: environmental management stage, supplier selection, supplier collaboration, supplier evaluation, customer selection, customer collaboration and evaluation of customers. About the results of the research with the case study in a food industry, it was possible to apply the structured research methodology. Regarding the first construct, the environmental management stage, the company presented a satisfactory average, due to legal issues and internal procedures followed by the company. In the other constructs the company presented a low average. It is concluded that the company practices environmental actions more so as not to suffer sanctions than to the sustainable aspect and, consequently, to the management of the supply chain.
