The Role of Leadership in Cultural Diversity Management:
A Case Study in an Auto Parts Industry in Curitiba-PR

Diversity in organizations has become a growing theme, not only in discussions and debates, but present in organizations. Researchers claim that greater diversity leverages the ability to innovate and perform. However, there are challenges that leadership needs to face to overcome barriers and conflicts arising from different cultures and individual experiences. Therefore, this work aims to present a case study carried out in a large auto parts industry, where the theme of diversity was widely discussed with employees, through group interviews. to discuss, clarify and provide a friendly and welcoming environment. As a result, it was possible to verify that the employees want to discuss and understand the changes to make the work environment a place where respect and good relationships prevail. It was also possible to highlight the important role of the manager as a moderator of the groups by breaking down barriers and prejudices.
